Highlighting the event is an Eco-Fashion show that will feature clothing and accessory designs by local designers who use sustainable and environmentally friendly materials.   Mariella Coffin was approached to be the shows stylist after rave reviews of her work in other eco-fashion shows she participated in such as Go Green Expo in Los Angeles Convention Center, interviews with green magazines and TV news channels in Los Angeles. Hailing from Peru, she now lives in San Diego with her family.

Mariella began designing environmentally responsible jewelry four years ago. Prior to jewelry design she was an architect, but decided to switch gears when her daughter was born. Of her decision to start a new career path, “I wanted to create a product that would somehow tie my background as an architect, ancient traditions from South America and unusual natural resources unique to certain communities in this region. But I also wanted to help the communities I would work with along the way by providing an alternative source of income.”

Her designs include non-traditional organic materials such as animal horn, vegetable fibers and gourds, which she combines with recycled sterling silver and gold to create one-of-a kind, 100% green fine jewelry.
